PREMIERE: Mover Shaker’s “No Backyard” Is A Pulsing, Intricate Jam

After almost a year and a half since their last release, Mover Shaker is back with the dissonant and infectious “No Backyard,” the first track off of their upcoming debut LP Michigania. We’re very excited to be premiering this new track, which can be found below.

If the first 5 seconds aren’t enough indication, this new release marks a rather clear departure from the band’s achingly sweet and emotive brand of indie rock found on Living Standards. The band traded in their clean-cut rhythms and catchy hooks for pulsing feedback, harsh delay, and intricate time signatures, ultimately crafting a sound that lands them somewhere between the realms of Sonic Youth and Marietta.
